Pediatric Endocrinology - Florida Hospital for Children

Overview

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in three locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on physician’s interest, and an interest in metabolic diseases is desirable but not essential.  The Pediatric Endocrinology program has a dedicated area for hormone testing and we offer the full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions. We have a large diabetes program with staffing for two nurse CDEs and two dietitian CDEs.  We also have a social worker.

Working with an expanding and committed children’s hospital, an established and successful pediatric endocrinology group of three other physicians with a strong referral base, a pediatric residency program, strong hospitalist and ICU services, a family-centered practice atmosphere, the ability to build and shape a program, and a competitive benefits / compensation package are just a few of the many reasons why this is an excellent career opportunity to consider.

Requirements of the position

  • Diplomate of American Board of Pediatrics
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Endocrinology
