Welcome new practice East Orlando Cardiology to the Florida Hospital Medical Group family. Usman Hashmi, MD, FACC, will begin seeing patients at East Orlando Cardiology August 8, 2018.
Dr. Hashmi is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiology, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. He grew up in Buffalo, New York and received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St Maarten. Dr. Hashmi completed his internal medicine, cardiology and advanced interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular training at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit where he was named Chief Medical Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow.
His primary focus is comprehensive and compassionate patient centered care emphasizing a unified team approach with the patient, their family and all health care providers. He believes in delivering the highest level of care, utilizing the latest in medical therapies, risk factor modification, non-invasive testing and patient education.
However, when the patient is best served by invasive procedures, he is highly experienced in performing advanced cardiac interventions through an artery in the patient’s wrist, in addition to peripheral vascular interventions to treat diseases of the blood vessels throughout the body. Dr. Hashmi is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
